Tamara Zidansek defeated Anna Bondar 7(7)-6(5), 6(5)-7(7), 7-5 — Iași Open 2026 R16.
Anna Bondar and Tamara Zidansek: Tamara Zidansek leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
First-strike serving undid a 71-percent market call (the model was less convinced, at 52). Tamara Zidansek, the WTA No. 131, out-aced No. 7 seed Anna Bondar 7-2 and won 68 percent of first-serve points to the favorite's 62, edging the total-points count 140-134 across three and a half hours of near-deadlock. Bondar saved 11 of 17 break points and erased two match points, but Zidansek converted the third, 3 hours and 29 minutes in. The win, a second three-setter in as many days after her opener against Emiliana Arango, moves Zidansek into the Iași Open quarterfinals.
