Giles Hussey defeated Matteo Arnaldi 6-4, 6-2 — Eastbourne International 2026 R32.
Matteo Arnaldi and Giles Hussey: Giles Hussey leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Giles Hussey, ranked #293, took down French Open semifinalist Matteo Arnaldi, 259 spots above him, by punishing every loose ball on return at Eastbourne. Arnaldi held break points all afternoon — 8 of 12 saved — but Hussey only needed his chances, converting 4 of 12 while winning 58% of points on both first and second returns. He broke to open the third game of each set, then traded breaks in set two before closing it out. Arnaldi's run since Roland-Garros stops cold.
