Zachary Svajda defeated Francisco Cerundolo 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-3 — French Open 2026 R32.
Francisco Cerundolo and Zachary Svajda are level at 1–1 across 2 recorded meetings.
Zachary Svajda flipped a 59-spot ranking gap by converting 6 of his 9 break points — 67% — while world No. 26 Francisco Cerundolo cashed just 5 of 11. In their first meeting on clay, the qualifier-tier American absorbed Cerundolo's 61-to-43 winner edge by erasing the favourite's chances on serve, saving 6 of 11 break points to the Argentine's 3 of 9. Cerundolo's 59 unforced errors — 18 more than Svajda — undid the firepower across a 182-minute five-setter that swung on return.
