Top seed Mirra Andreeva reached the Singapore Tennis Open quarterfinals in 73 minutes, beating Aliaksandra Sasnovich for the loss of four games. Andreeva, who had a first-round bye, was playing her first hard-court match since she lost to Coco Gauff in the US Open quarterfinals. Sasnovich, ranked WTA No. 130, had beaten Daria Kasatkina in the first round. Andreeva broke her in the opening game of both sets. Sasnovich broke back twice, for 2-4 in the first set and 1-1 in the second, but lost her serve again in the next game each time. Andreeva converted six of her seven break points, and Sasnovich converted two of five. Andreeva next faces WTA No. 31 Leylah Fernandez.
