Daria Snigur and Diana Shnaider: Diana Shnaider leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
The 15th seed needed 67 minutes at the US Open, and the return games did it: Shnaider left Snigur holding twice in seven service games while taking 12 of 16 points off the second serve. Snigur's one stretch of resistance, a break in game 7 for 4-3, was erased immediately in game 8 for 4-4. It was Shnaider's first match since Rybakina beat her in the Cincinnati round of 16.
