Ajla Tomljanovic and Mariam Bolkvadze: Mariam Bolkvadze leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Ranked WTA No. 539 against a top-100 opponent, Mariam Bolkvadze turned the match on her cleaner baseline ledger: 25 unforced errors to 38 from Ajla Tomljanovic, a 13-count gap that outweighed Tomljanovic's edge in winners (23 to 18). Bolkvadze did it despite landing just 33% of first serves — she broke in the opening game of the decider, surrendered the break back in game six, then broke again in game seven to lead 5-3 on the way to the 6-4 finish. The qualifier-level upset opens Wimbledon for her in the first round at the loser's expense.
