Lilli Tagger vs Amanda Anisimova — R64 — US Open

Sixteen unforced errors in the second set left the No. 10 seed a set from the exit, with Tagger breaking three times to level the match, the last of those for 6-3. Anisimova cleaned up the decider — 13 winners against four unforced errors, 82 percent of first-serve points won — and broke in game 2 for 2-0, then again in game 4 for 4-0. The 48th-ranked Austrian held only 58 percent of her service games across two hours and never got a break back after that; Potapova, ranked 25th, is next.
