About The Drop Shot

The Drop Shot is a fantasy tennis platform built for people who actually watch the sport. Operated by RotoRacket LLC, we cover the full ATP and WTA tours — every Grand Slam, every ATP Masters, every ATP and WTA 500 and 250 — with live point-by-point scoring, draws, brackets, and player stats updated in real time.

What Makes The Drop Shot Different?

The Drop Shot brings fantasy tennis, live match tracking, best-in-class stats, community discussion, and predictive models together in one platform — for free. No more jumping between separate fantasy games, score apps, stat sites, and prediction tools.

There are two ways to play fantasy tennis on The Drop Shot. Season-long leagues run on a live snake draft built specifically for tennis — drafting in real time, with chat, pick queues, and pick countdowns — then carry through the full tour calendar with waivers between events. Salary-cap contests come in single-tournament and multi-tournament formats, and run in two modes: active contests where you can swap players between tournaments in a multi-event contest, and set-and-forget contests where your roster locks at the start. All contests use a priced player pool with a fixed budget.

Both formats score from the same engine: ATP and WTA match results, updated point-by-point. Base points come from how far your players advance through each tournament's draw (R128, R64, R32, R16, QF, SF, F, W). Bonuses are awarded for upsets, aces, breaks of serve, and tournament wins. Tournament levels — Grand Slams, Masters, and ATP/WTA 500 and 250 — each pay differently, with Grand Slams worth the most.

Everything is configurable in a league. The commissioner sets the scoring table, which bonuses count, how much each tournament level pays, waiver windows, and roster size. Contest pricing uses a state-of-the-art model that weights each player's recent results, surface history, specific tournament identity, ranking, and injury status — so a clay specialist costs more for Roland Garros than for Wimbledon, and injured players price low until they return.

Beyond gameplay, The Drop Shot is a tennis reference. Four thousand-plus player profiles include career stats, head-to-head records, surface win rates, ranking history, and a full season-by-season match log. Every match has a detail page with set-by-set scores, point-by-point breakdown, and predictive-model context. Tournament profiles carry the full draw, results, and player stats for every round.

Drafting players, running leagues, building salary-cap contest lineups, and tracking live scores are all free. There are no paid tiers and no paywalled features. The platform is supported by display advertising.
