Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva is the first player Andorra has put inside the top 100 in the Open Era, and she got there the slow way. Born in Andorra la Vella in August 2005 to an Andorran father and a Russian mother, she turned pro in 2020 — the year she won the Australian Open girls' singles title at 14 as the youngest player in the draw, saving three match points in the third round en route. She still trains at her father's academy in Barcelona.
The game is a left-hander's, and it is not built on free points. At 1.80 m she carries a 1.3 percent career ace rate and holds barely half her service games, so the profit comes on return and in rallies steered by the two-handed backhand. Her matches run long: all three of her 2026 wins needed three sets.
The junior crown made her a name at 14; the top 100 took six more years. The arc reads as increments — a tour-level semifinal at Seoul in 2022 at 17, a first WTA 1000 main-draw win over Lin Zhu in Madrid in 2024, a US Open main-draw debut as a qualifier in 2025. February 2026 was the jump: at the WTA 500 Mérida Open she beat Yulia Putintseva and then edged Magda Linette 5-7, 7-6(5), 7-5 before Shuai Zhang ended the run in the quarterfinals. On March 16, 2026 she peaked at WTA No. 89.
As of September 2026 she sits at WTA No. 120 on 617 WTA points and 3-7 for the season, six straight defeats since a three-set win over Caty McNally at Indian Wells, most recently 4-6, 4-6 to Alycia Parks at the Canadian Open. Five ITF titles, no tour-level final yet, and at 21 the March peak is the benchmark.
Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva's tour-reported career prize money is $1,212,146 USD (WTA, as of Sep 28, 2026); the 2026 reported season total is $389,034 USD; and the ledger below itemises 12 published main-draw singles awards from 2023 to 2026.
