Hugo Dellien About

Dellien's best ranking on record, ATP No. 79, came at 32 in June 2025

Hugo Dellien is a 33-year-old right-hander from Trinidad, in Bolivia's Beni department, where he still lives. He has spent his career on the edge of the tour-level main draw, opening 2026 at ATP No. 138 and standing at No. 128, with 460 points, on 29 September 2026, his best mark of the season.

On clay the serve rarely ends points for him. Across the 14 clay-court matches carrying stat lines in our archive since 2017, he has aced 2.5% of his serves and won 34.7% of return points, with a 4-10 record in those matches. His biggest win by opponent ranking on record came at the Rio Open in February 2023, when he beat then-No. 54 Alex Molcan.

His best ranking on record, ATP No. 79, arrived on 30 June 2025, in a season that returned a 1-7 tour-level record. The exception came at the Italian Open, where he recovered from a set down against Thiago Seyboth Wild 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and reached the round of 32, the deepest Masters 1000 run in our archive. Alex de Minaur stopped him there 6-4, 6-4. Two weeks later he led Gael Monfils by two sets in the French Open first round and lost in five.

In 2026 he has won one of three tour-level matches: a 6-4, 6-1 win over then-No. 62 Damir Dzumhur at February's Argentina Open, where Francisco Cerundolo ended his week 6-0, 7-6(6) three days later. Valentin Royer beat him in straight sets in the French Open first round in May.
