Aryna Sabalenka defeated McCartney Kessler 6-1, 7(11)-6(9) — Wimbledon 2026 R64.
Aryna Sabalenka and McCartney Kessler: Aryna Sabalenka leads 2–0 across 2 recorded meetings.
Perfect on the chances that mattered: Sabalenka converted all three break points she earned while Kessler managed just 1 of 3, and that return-game edge decided a match that never truly tightened until the second-set breaker. The top seed broke twice to run away with the opener 6-1, then survived a seven-break scramble to close 7-6(9). Kessler, a set-and-love winner in the previous round at Wimbledon, had no answer once the rallies extended.
