Alexandra Eala defeated Iga Swiatek 7(11)-6(9), 6-2 — Wimbledon 2026 R32.
Alexandra Eala and Iga Swiatek: Alexandra Eala leads 3–1 across 4 recorded meetings.
Betting markets gave Iga Swiatek a 77% chance, but the return game said otherwise: Alexandra Eala converted 5 of 7 break points to the No. 3 seed's 3 of 9 and won 7(11)-6(9) 6-2 in the Wimbledon Round of 32. Swiatek's serve leaked all afternoon — five double faults, only 2 of 7 break points saved — and after the marathon first-set tiebreak, Eala broke in game 1 and game 3 of the second to go up 3-0. The Filipina now leads their meetings on record 2-1, this the first on grass after her straight-sets win in Miami last spring.
