Ignacio Buse and Benjamin Bonzi are level at 1–1 across 2 recorded meetings.
The second set nearly cost him: an early break in hand, Buse was broken back in game 8 for 4-4 and gave Bonzi the only set the Frenchman would take. He answered on the first return game after it, breaking for 1-0 in the third and again in game 5 for 4-1, behind a second serve that produced 15 points from 18 against Bonzi's 9 of 29. The 25 unforced errors off the other racquet, 16 more than the third seed's, settled the ledger. One hour and 50 minutes buys Buse a shot at a second career title at the Winston-Salem Open, the first having come on Hamburg clay.
