Ann Li defeated Taylah Preston 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 — Nottingham Open 2026 R16.
Ann Li and Taylah Preston: Ann Li leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Ann Li lost the opening set 7-5 after Taylah Preston broke her in the last two games — then the serve numbers inverted. Li's first-serve points won climbed from 65% in set one to 76% and 80% across the last two, and she converted 6 of 15 break chances to Preston's 4 of 16. Preston's hand betrayed her, eight double faults against Li's four. After breaking early in both closing sets, Li ran out the back-to-back 6-2s to take a first grass meeting at Nottingham.
