The Bavarian International Tennis Championships is an ATP tournament in Munich, Germany. Its 2026 edition, officially the BMW Open by Bitpanda, was played on clay from April 13 to 19, during the spring clay-court season. That edition was an ATP 500 event, a category one level below the Masters 1000 tournaments.
The four editions from 2023 to 2026 produced four different champions, and Ben Shelton was the only player to reach two of those finals. Alexander Zverev beat him 6-2, 6-4 to win the 2025 edition. Shelton then won the 2026 edition, beating Flavio Cobolli 6-2, 7-5.
Jan-Lennard Struff won the 2024 edition, beating Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-3 in the final. Holger Rune won the 2023 edition, and his final against Botic van de Zandschulp was the only one of the four to reach a third set. Rune dropped the second set 6-1 before winning a deciding-set tiebreak.
